A mistake/negligence…loss of LIFE

You may have heard/read about the tragic incident “A 24-year-old mechanical engineer who was working in a private company, was returning home after dropping his engineer friend at the Chennai international airport at about 2:30 AM on 10th March 2022, died when his car rammed the road median and overturned on road in the early hours.”

The accident happened on the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road. The deceased was staying in a rented apartment in Neelankarai.

The above is a news for many of us, but can you imagine the irreparable loss which his family had and same can not be compensated by any sympathy or monetary compensation given to his family.

I, YOU and others must learn lesson of not taking the driving of vehicle casually and at high speed due to less number of vehicles on road, especially if there is abnormal time/location/weather/circumstances/aged driver/condition of vehicle etc. AUTHORITIES must do their job of enforcement of road safety rules for vehicle driving under the stated abnormal conditions.

Seeking your kind cooperation to make it possible towards ZERO Accident….VM

  1. The high incidence of accidents during the early hours of morning is mainly due to somnolence or drowsiness due to sleep deprivation during the night. This needs to be avoided at any cost.

    1. Kaushal ji, your understanding about road safety aspects is excellent.
The reason mentioned by you i.e dowsiness would have been the cause of the tragic incident. All of us must be aware when driving our vehicles during the sleep hours, abnormal time for driving.

  2. Certainly the carelessness on the part of driver as well as casual approach of the Authorities in enforcing the safety rules contributes to many avoidable accidents Some strict action will have to be taken to prevent such incidents
