Driving casually… Hit&Run

You might have read headline in city edition of Chandigarh Tribune “Social Activist killed in hit-&-run mishap” on 18th June 2023. Sh. Amarjit Singh Kohli, the deseased died when hitting by a speeding car, when he was cycling in morning on Sirhind – Chandigarh road as usual. The car driver sped away after the hit.

Sh. Amarjit, a successful businessman was a cycling enthusiast, regular participant for blood donation, tree plantation drives, medical camps. In addition, the person used to motivate youngsters for the same. He had contributed greatly for playing football in Bassi Pathana, a city of Fatehgarh Sahib of Punjab.

Knowing all the above, can you imagine how much loss the family, a community, a city and our country may have to bear, when safe driving is diluted for any reason. Thus, DRIVE SAFELY and encourage others to adopt and practice the same.

  2. Loss of a precious life or of an ordinary person in such a way is very unfortunate This can be avoided only by adopting safe driving rules and using discipline

  3. Everywhere it’s happening whether it’s Samriddhi highway or Pune Mumbai expressway. People on the wheels must understand the life is precious, and a little carelessness can cause irreparable loss.
