Above photos are taken today evening during back home time, at T junction at prominent location in Mohali
Present post is only to request Government Authorities to do all needful so that such unauthorized pathways are closed down all over our country, without fail and at the earliest possible. Mind that any loss of life on such account is more costly than the expenditure to be incurred on the same.
For the time being, YOU must not turn a blind eye at such locations in your city. Driving at slower speed at every crossing on road is one of the best safety measures for all of us.

Such shortcuts should definitely be avoided. As it may seem to be a shortcut but actually it is not.

Everyone must firstly be aware of what is wrong in what is happening on road, around us. Then, what not to be done, to avoid any mishap.

Some bylanes are meant for walking, not for driving. I had witnessed such an accident from my own eyes when a bike in full speed hit the man coming out of his house. I think some barricades etc should be put at the entrance to deter vehicle drivers. A nice post for making public and governments aware to prevent such mishaps.

Everyone of us must take restrain at our own level. Here in your mentioned incident:
1. The biker must had slowed down his vehicle in residential area.
2. The man would have seen both sides, before coming out of his house.
Govt. authorities must take impartial & strict actions to enforce the road rules.
