Above photos were taken few weeks back during evening at same location, one towards Mohali and other away from Mohali, at Lakhnaur Y intersection. This road section is one of the busiest traffic point, outskirts of Mohali. I am sharing you the concern which might not be thought of by many people in India but it is important to know about it. Such ignorant driving movement may lead to a fatal accident or an incident leading to road rage.
YOU need to be aware about and must choose appropriate location to take U Turn during your travel whether it be within city or outside. The location to negotiate U Turn should be such where you get wide road section and / or less traffic. Patience play key role on road. Authorities should recognize this issue and must act proactively to avert any untoward incident. You must share this issue to maximum people to make them aware about the present concern and help them to remain safe on road.

Very well noticed…. Every road user should keep even these minor but significant things in mind while driving on road safely. Authorities too should encourage such things accordingly.

Certainly place for u turn matters If a place is specified then you must take u turn from that place only and if no place is specified then one must take u turn from a wide open road only after waiting for the road to be clear

U-turns are very crucial. In fact there are roads, where u-turn is strictly prohibited with clear signboards. But then adherence to norms is our responsibility and its enforcement is that of local administration. Thank you for raising the issue and voicing your concern.
