Above photos/video are taken today at entry road to Industrial Area in Chandigarh
There may be likelihood of fatal accident due to roadside vending, as same compels pedestrians to walk on road, invite roadusers including motorists to stop and make shopping. Here in this case it’s a meal & tea stall having sitting space to take tea, eat meal. We must not wait for something wrong to happen, for anyone. Later, the likely affected family will blame the Authorities or will call the mishap as a misfortune for the affected person.
Best way for not becoming victim of any mishap due to such situation is to discourage road side vending, rather complete NO to them at busy roads, throughout India. Authorities and roadusers must understand and act wisely.

Vending is necessity both for consumers as well as for sellers but safety precautions are required to be taken by both of them to avoid unfortunate incidents Authorities should take such precautions

Yes, precautions by sellers n consumers are must to ensure safety on road.
Vending is a means of livelihood. Moreover, long distance travellers need tea, water etc at some frequency. Pictures and video show that vendors are keeping a safe distance from road, so it’s not a matter of concern, but what is of concern is that vehicles, especially four wheelers should not be parked irresponsibly on the road, for which all concerned should be cautious.

Absolutely! We are not against vending but roadside vending should be discouraged for safety purpose for all road users. Authorities must provide venders, a seperate space and must ensure there is no roadside vending taking place.
